jab we met

I saw this movie recently and I liked it. It has that feel good thing going from beginning to end with some melodious numbers thrown in.

Kareena Kapoor was quite good at her Bathinda girl act and believe me I can make that judgment very well :) Shahid has the genes of his great father when it comes to acting and is quite likable. His scene with the hotel "Descent" manager was a roller coaster.

The direction was superb but the editing could have been a bit crisp. The art direction was delicious especially the Leh-Ladakh scenery, completely mesmerizing. The screenplay was a lot better done in the first half as compared to second. The only "weak link" of the movie was the actor who played Kareena'a love interest.

I personally had a great time watching the movie. The "mauja mauja" song at the end was the icing on the cake. I'll recommend all of you to go catch this movie and ya do take your partner with you and remember the time "when you met" :)

i am back

Arnold said these three words in Terminator 2 and made history .... and now its my turn :D ..

I was busy with my life .. I was thinking about things and making some choices ... but since now I have a clear vision of my future, i am back ... and trust me I am here to stay ... I will talk my heart out to all you lovely and adorable readers out there ...

These days Pre Placement Talks are going on IIT Delhi campus ... these talks are also known as pizza parties in IIT lingo ... well, today was the hot-shot investment bank Lehman Brothers so the pizza was also top notch. In fact I have started to judge companies by the standard of pizzas they offer.

Next month, we'll face the biggest nightmare of our lives, the campus placements. I am not at all prepared and there's a long way to go. So in the words of Robert Frost

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Poem lyrics of Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost.

Mera Bharat Mahan

The Government attitude towards court order regarding OBC reservation is a clear advertisement of the state of affairs in "Mera Bharat Mahan". The Government should rather dispose off all general category people to some remote island. Who says democracy is the best form of governance!. Democracy sooner or later takes the form of vote bank politics. Development of the country is the last thing on our legislature's mind. A nation with 50 percent reservation can go nowhere. IIT with 50 percent reservation will look like a school of fools. Most of the SC/ST candidates still fail to complete their degrees and the Government wants more reservation. Mr. Karunanidhi should spend a semester in IIT and see the misery of these students.

  • KLS is closing down on May 15.
  • Chabbra found a cockroach in his food at Sip n Byte.

This means that from May 15 onwards I can neither go to KLS nor to Sip n Byte. I am going to starve in summers unless some other vendor starts servicing at KLS cafeteria. The signs are already so clear that the world is coming to an end :)

yesterday while going to KLS ( IIT night canteen )...

yesterday while going to KLS ( IIT night canteen ) i framed up a theory which was very well received by all my friends. The theory is that we all know there are just too many mosquitos at KLS, so if one person in a group is in shorts while going there all the mosquitos at their table will have to bite that particular person. But on the other hand, if all of them wear shorts then the mosquitos will have a choice and since every mosquito has a different taste (I suppose they have) , they'll bite different people. Hence no one will suffer too much.

I might be the only person in the world whose reading habits depend on the mood of his newspaper vendor. I get to read a mix of Economic Times, Hindu and Times of India on different days of the week. But the fact is that I recently realized that this is turning out to be great for me as I'm now aware of Finance, Politics and Ollywood (Both B & H courtesy Delhi Times)
