Mera Bharat Mahan

The Government attitude towards court order regarding OBC reservation is a clear advertisement of the state of affairs in "Mera Bharat Mahan". The Government should rather dispose off all general category people to some remote island. Who says democracy is the best form of governance!. Democracy sooner or later takes the form of vote bank politics. Development of the country is the last thing on our legislature's mind. A nation with 50 percent reservation can go nowhere. IIT with 50 percent reservation will look like a school of fools. Most of the SC/ST candidates still fail to complete their degrees and the Government wants more reservation. Mr. Karunanidhi should spend a semester in IIT and see the misery of these students.

I was describing the facts as they are... most of the reserved category students have their degrees extended by a year or two at IIT Delhi ... and these students are not the real needy people who should benefit from reservation... in fact most of them are children of government officials who have already been enjoying the privileges of reservation for a generation or two ... i haven't heard of rickshaw puller's son or a sweeper's daughter getting admission in IIT ... and believe me if that happens some day with or without reservation I'll be the happiest person on earth ... so I don't find it fair that an IAS officer's son becomes another IIT IAS because he belongs to a particular community ... and that has happened a lot lately ...

Hi dude this is Mridul.. maybe the name strikes a bell.. i was in ur batch at iitd.. passed out 2007..
btw nice passion u've shown here.. were u present at the faculty-student demonstration organised by iitd ppl on this issue.. so many students were conspicuous by their absesce, after all their cribbing against the reservations.. i mean, if they can't spare half a day for a cause they usually shout for from the comfort of their rooms, they better stop crying foul..

Dude why are you so afraid of revealing urself.. u seem to be fighting for a good cause after all.. but lemme tell u something.. when u say u want reservation for "achoots" or the "SCs" or the "STs" or the "OBCs", aren't u actually strengthening the dividing wall? who gave u the right to classify humans into such categories? u want them to feel below par already? i dont want to get into the technical details of who exactly will benefit from the reservations or how it is just vote bank politics, but sir set ur basics right first. Those fighting for equality of all don't preach preferrential treatment. You have "upper caste ancestors" to blame for the misery of "achoots".. who do you blame for the financially downtrodden "upper castes"?
